Uncertain

Title:

Valley with Fir

Artist

Henri-Edmond Cross

Reflection Art Materials

Crayon rubbings, stickers, and collage

Reflections

While viewing this artwork, I was struck by the two contrasting colors and reminded of a yin yang symbol. I was also inspired by the painting technique using dabs of color to create an image.

Interpretations:

I made crayon rubbings with contrasting colors by pressing tissue paper onto a patterned coffee mug. After drawing a ying yang, I tore the patterned tissue paper to reinforce the design and used stickers to represent the people in my life.

DIY Options

Finger paint or stamping to simulate the original art style. Consider color contrast and current themes in your life.

3) Explore the thoughts that arose when you looked at the image and consider what curiosities you may have about the art, yourself, and any unmet needs?

4) What activities or actions would support your energy, foster satisfaction, and/or meet your emotional needs today? When and how can you get your needs met in an tangible way today? (be specific and attainable)
